The virtual store agent you craved
Telly is an intelligent store assistant that has the potential to reshape and accelerate how retailers can do business in the new normal. Check out our story at Carrefour.
An all-in-one virtual store assistant
The combination of fear, uncertainty, and frustration presents organizations with both new risks and opportunities. Providing compassionate customer service will likely generate an outsized increase in positive brand perception and customer loyalty post-crisis. Conversely, inaccessible, ineffective, or uncaring responses are likely to drive an equally pronounced negative reaction.
Thankfully, the technology available to businesses continues to improve. We used the combined power of Edge Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Conversational Design. This means retailers don’t have to rely on manual processes and human effort to run smooth experiences in the new normal.
Telly acts on insights closer to where data is actually created. It leverages near real-time customer patterns to help you make more efficient staff planning, improve efficiency, reduce costs and create smoother store flows.
In 2020, we installed our Telly solution at the Waterloo Hyper Carrefour. The intelligent Telly camera was installed at the entrance of the store. A real-time AI algorithm would analyze people coming in and out of the store. If the store was too crowded, the doors would close and an informative message was shown on the kiosk next to the entrance. If people forgot to wear face masks, the doors would stay closed and the system would inform the person to put on a face mask before entering the store. A helpful solution, for sure.
